Spring Engagement at the Arboretum

Let me start by saying most of my couples are cooler than me… but Meagan and Matthew are A LOT cooler than me. They met a gym, got engaged skydiving and now own a coffee shop together. They’re SO cool and loving that their besties even gifted them their honeymoon flights to Europe?! Like do you even need further convincing?!

But in all seriousness! Being an Ottawa wedding photographer means I get to check out the coolest places with the coolest people! After a few months of planning since their canada day weekend proposal, we decided to shoot at the Arboretum because of Meagan’s love for the cherry blossoms! Now, the cherry blossoms typically have a schedule of their own but thankfully we were able to capture them at the end of May at the Arboretum!

It was a really weird day! I remember the rain clouds coming closer and praying on my drive in that the rain would break… thankfully, weather did decide to go in our favour! An Arboretum engagement session is the perfect location for those who want to stick in central Ottawa. Despite the dark clouds sticking around, I had such a fun time with Meagan + Matthew! They definitely know how to make each other laugh and had a great time hanging out in the park together! Just wait until you see their wedding photos from Stonefields… *jaw dropping*
