Lisa + Joshua

There really isn’t anything more exciting to an Ottawa wedding photographerthan the first wedding of the season. And lucky for me, Lisa and Josh’s wedding was the most incredible wedding to start my 2018 season off right! Their Museum of Nature wedding offered the best lighting and happy vibes for an indoor spring wedding. They had the best style and brought such a fun atmosphere to their event!

Lisa and Josh are super sweet! They brought me a bottle of wine at their engagement session, not knowing that I was secretly pregnant (haha!), but it was such a nice gesture and so appreciated. Their kindness carried through on their wedding day. They treated my team and all of their guests like gold!

Lisa’s bridal prep photos are some of my favorite! Can you believe that lighting, her style, and that darling pup?! Lisa and her bridesmaids prepped in the cutest floral robes, and then they put on their sparkly gowns to help Lisa get dressed. The guys also had a great time getting ready. Josh gifted each groomsman a custom gift box, complete with a cigar and NFL cufflinks.

The couple pulled their color palette through each element of their wedding. Navy, gold, and ivory were present in the wedding party’s outfits, florals, and reception décor. I loved Lisa’s classic bridal look, and Josh also looked great in a navy suit and light gold tie.

The reception was amazing and so unique! An eclectic mix of classic, modern, and fun, the reception went all out. I loved the gorgeous, modern floral arch above the sweetheart table, and the donut wall was adorable. The reception featured heartfelt toasts, dancing, a delicious supper, and my favorite part—McDonald’s for all of the guests!

Josh and Lisa threw a really one-of-a-kind wedding, and I am so glad I could be a part of it! I loved their whole day and have the beautiful photographs to prove it!
