Preparing For Your Engagement Session

If you're here, it must mean we are in the planning stages of your engagement session! You know what that means..one step closer until you tie the knot! I've created a post about how to prepare for your session and what to expect! I’ve attached a link that includes a variety of albums for different locations, for you to get an idea. If you are interested in having a themed engagement session, such as a picnic, campfire, hockey, baseball, fishing, ETC please let me know ASAP so I can start preparing props and ideas. Themed engagement sessions always turn out the BEST!

After we've decided on a location, the next question is "what do I wear?". Engagement sessions are a great way to take advantage of your hair & makeup trail- fake lashes are KEY to any type of photo session! There are no clothing requirements for an engagement session, but wear something that makes you feel gorgeous and confident. I'd recommend dressing it up a little, as it's not everyday you get to throw on your favourite heels and have it professionally documented! I’ve attached a link to my Pinterest Page, from here you can view a variety of different albums for each location. If there is a location that you have in mind, I am open to shooting there as well! If you were engaged at a certain location, or if you both play baseball and you want to do it at a baseball diamond, that is okay as well! Any field, farm, apple orchard, etc, makes for a beautiful surrounding!

After you’ve decided on a location, the next step would be for you to create a Mood Board on Pinterest. This will allow me to get a vision of what vibe you are trying to capture out of this session- for example, if your mood board is full of beach photos, then maybe shooting downtown isn't the right location for you. It'll help me provide you with tips! Just send me a link to your Mood Board a few days before the session.

Here is a list of engagement locations for you to choose from! As you can see, some locations are outside of the Ottawa area. With this being said, some are only a 30 minute drive and make for a BEAUTIFUL engagement location.
