A Love Created Downtown Ottawa

While it’s really special to get engagement photos taken in any circumstance and so important to celebrate every phase in life and be able to cherish it, it’s even better when couples choose locations or themes for their Ottawa engagement photos that represent them as a couple or show off a part of their relationship’s history or their interests.

And Katie and Brad did just that! They had their first date at the 3 Brews in downtown Ottawa, so we decided to revisit this important location and start the session off there! And I have to admit, I just might recommend a little pre-session drink to all of my couples! Besides snapping some darling photos, Katie and Brad enjoyed some of their favorite beverages, which made the rest of the session so laid back and fun! They were so comfortable in front of the camera, so it was easy to capture their darling natural interactions, smiles, and laughter.

After we finished up at the restaurant, we walked around Parliament Hill to another special location in their relationship—the spot where Brad proposed to Katie! This made for the happiest memories, and I love that they’ll now get to celebrate their proposal again and again with these engagement photos!

Their laughter was infectious; the evening was filled with so many laughs and even better stories, like one about how they ran into a drunk RCMP officer while exploring the Parliament grounds (what?!). If this session offers any foresight into their wedding day this fall, I’m the luckiest wedding photographer in Ottawa! The pair is getting married on October 28, 2017 at Lago, and I can’t wait!
